Yoga studio · [Your city]
A small studio for slow practice. No mirrors, no leaderboards, no rush — just breath, floor, and an hour that belongs to you.
Most people arrive at Still Water carrying something — a stiff back, a loud week, a body that stopped feeling like their own. We build classes around that reality rather than around a pose you're supposed to achieve.
Every class is capped small so the teacher can actually see you. Props are always out and always free to use. If you spend the whole hour in child's pose, that is a complete practice, and nobody will come adjust you out of it.
Weekly rhythm
Six days a week, mornings and evenings. Doors open fifteen minutes before each class — come early, make tea, settle in. [Confirm these times with your teachers]
New to the studio? Beginners' Foundations on Saturday morning is the gentlest way in — we walk through the basic shapes, how to use props, and what to do when something doesn't feel right.

What happens in the room
Movement linked to breath at a pace you can actually follow. We hold shapes long enough to feel them, then move on. Expect to be warm by the end and not wrecked.
Bolsters, blankets, and long supported holds. Most of the hour is spent lying down. This is the class people book when they're running on empty.
Fewer shapes, held for several minutes each, targeting the connective tissue around hips, spine and shoulders. Quiet, sometimes uncomfortable, usually transformative.
A steadier, more active class for people with some experience. Standing balances, slow transitions, and work through the legs and core.
A six-week cycle through the basics: how to breathe, how to place your hands and feet, how to use a block without feeling like you're cheating.
Saturday morning, ninety minutes, no fixed sequence. A longer sit with the breath, a longer warm-up, and time to actually arrive somewhere.
